HOW TO COOK RICE

Fill the measuring cup to the brim with dry rice. One cup equals 180ml of rice.

Place the dry rice into the bowl of the rice cooker.

Wash and rinse the rice several times until the water becomes clear.

Fill the bowl with water to the line that indicates the number of cups of rice that you wish to cook. The scale that you wish to follow is labelled inside the bowl using the Japanese characters for white

rice. e.g. 2 cups of rice requires enough water to reach the line with the number 2.

Place the bowl back into the rice cooker, close the lid and plug in the powder cord.


HOW TO OPERATE THE RICE COOKER

Press button ① to select white rice ⓐ or brown rice ⓑ

Note: ⓐ is the default setting.

Press button ② to select the stickiness and firmness of the rice. The recommended setting is ⓒ and ⓓ

Press button ③ to start cooking the rice, lamp ④ will illuminate. Note: To fast cook white rice press button ③ twice.

An alarm will sound when the rice is cooked, and lamp ④ will switch off. The rice will now automatically be kept warm and moist.

After use, press button ⑤ and remove the power cord.

Note:

For brown rice it is recommended to press button ⑤ and remove the power cord once cooking is completed.

Caution:

Take care when opening the lid of the rice cooker as an injury may be caused by escaping steam.
